about

I met performance duo Dichotomy in Minneapolis when I was on tour with rapper/singer Toussaint Morrison last year. I was blown away by their blend of hip hop and electronica featuring live electric violin. After that tour, they sent me a folder of beats to choose from. This particular one was so captivating and just the right little bit weird, I knew I had to have it. Willie Green added some extra drum programming on top of it and really made it crack. Lyrically, this is one of my most personal songs. It's all about the regrets I have from time wasted investing too much energy into some of my favorite distractions: drinking, partying, sex, and HIM. Watching this song come to life was incredibly cathartic for me and of course, in owning up to all my mistakes, it's become my parent's favorite.
